Videonystagmography (VNG)
Videonystagmography is a special test designed to observe and record eye movements. Eye movement pathology is extremely common in concussion, ADD/ADHD, migraine, neurodegenerative diseases, inner ear problems, and a host of other brain-based disorders. The eye movement recordings help our doctors determine if and where there is dysfunction in the brain, and it helps them determine appropriate treatment plans for each unique condition.
Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP)
CDP allows us to measure your balance and center of pressure accurately and quantitatively. Balance is made up of various systems within the body and this test allows us to assess the functional state of these systems. The areas involved with balance include the visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive systems. During this test, the patient stands on a force plate and has to remain as still as possible. We can test the patient in many different conditions to give us a window which regions of the brain are not performing well.
